This photo was taken along a ridge during our hike up to a mountain peak on the volcanic island of Nacula in Fiji. The rock overlooks part of the northern Yasawa Group where you can see the entire outline of coral reefs, which stretch for miles around the coastline.

Jim and I visited the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area during our road trip this past Fall. We hiked through a wet rainforest floor covered with salamanders and chanterelle mushrooms leading us to an open expanse of hilly dunes juxtaposed with the Pacific Ocean.
